Bram Stoker

1847–1912

Irish writer (1847–1912) who managed the Lyceum Theatre in London for the actor Henry Irving. His novel Dracula (1897), told through letters, diaries and news clippings, fixed the modern vampire in popular culture and remains his best-known work.
