- Maximum file size is 75 MiB.
- Files over 50 MiB show a heads-up before opening.
- Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
- Scanned PDFs without a text layer can be read, but text selection and Explain won't be available.

Questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened and stored only in your browser and is never uploaded. Only a passage you pick for Explain is sent for AI processing.
Do I need an account?
No. Reading your own PDF is free and needs no sign-up.
Does it work offline?
Once a PDF is open in your browser you can keep reading it offline. Explain needs a connection because it calls ReadPro's AI.
Where is my reading progress saved?
In this browser, on this device. Open the same PDF again and it resumes from your last page.
What file types can I open?
PDF is the focus here, and the same reader also opens TXT and EPUB files.
How do I remove a file?
Open your library and delete it — the document, its bytes and its progress are removed from your browser.
